There are also other hotels nearby. The Residence Inn and The Avon Old Farms Hotel are located in Avon. The Farmington Inn in Farmington is another option.

Christie and Michael enjoy playing board games together. When Michael wanted to propose to Christie, he told Christie that he wanted to play Scrabble. Michael told her that he wasn't sure how to play. While Christie was cleaning the kitchen, Michael set up the Scrabble board and lay the tiles to say "Marry Me". When Christie came into the dining room, he pointed to the board and asked Christie if "Marry Me" was a valid word. Michael then got on his knee and officially asked Christie to marry him. Michael was elated when Christie said yes!
